Frugal Friday {Week #24}

So right now my weeks are full of track, Baseball and church
activities. This weekend is the Texas Homeschool State Track Meet which will bring our season to a close. Track has 3 practices a week and with our 2nd car broken down my head is spinning with the constant activity. It is amazing how much more busy we are when all of the activities are flowing through 1 vehicle. Then to top of everything else that is going on I have to prepare to teach Misty of Chincoteague to my class of 4th -6th graders in homeschool co-op. Did you know that Misty was a real horse? I didn’t nor did I know that both she and her offspring have been the subject of generations of horse books. It has a really neat history and the kids are going to really enjoy the background information. I’m glad it’s an interesting story I just wish it was a few more weeks into the future!

  1. Misty of Chincoteague is my all time favorite book! I bet I’ve read it at least a dozen times. I’ve always wanted to watch the ponies swim.

    We are trying to keep up with 4 ball teams plus a bunch of medical stuff for all of the kids, so I really feel for you doing all of that with just one car. Hope you’re back to 2 soon!

    1. This is my first time reading it and I am really enjoying it! When we go to the east coast in a few years I hope we can catch the swimming of the ponies!
