Perhaps you are like us and when you started homeschooling you just thought you were providing your children with an academic education. But as you’ve watched recent events you want to prepare for the coming storm? Suddenly, we are aware that our religious liberties are disappearing.

Our family started off homeschooling in order to provide that  “better education” for our autistic older daughter. As we have continued to homeschool and as we have seen the decline in society we have  moved away from our original goal of providing a better education then our failing government school systems. We soon moved away from our previous  goal and became consumed with the desire to bring our children up in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Don’t get me wrong as Christians we have a responsibility to diligently homeschool our children but in my humble opinion shouldn’t be our highest goal.

After all the chief end of man is to bring glory to God, right? So we must

“Train up a child in the way he should go;
    even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
As Americans we feel our children should be well versed in the amazing history of our country. We have sought to accomplish that by purposing to educate our children about their faith, purposing to educate them about their country and diligently providing an academic education. But now it appears we can even go one step further by attending the Freedom Conference and listening to some of their powerful Speakers.

If you have not seen the Benham Brothers speak before then you are in for a treat. Our amil has seen them speak 2 times and they have made us laugh and cry and sometimes both at the same time. But one thing they have never done is left us unconvicted of the sin in our life or uninspired to live for Christ!
Frankly, our family listens to so many of these speakers on the radio or we have seen them speaking at a conference that we know you will leave inspired to do great things.
So purpose to educate your children about the faith by using  Truth & Grace Scripture Memory Book a Baptist Memory, Hymn and Catechism book.

Purpose to  educate them about their country religious liberties with the Elementary Catechism on the Constitution of the United States.

Seek to raise well educated children who can competently communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ to the waiting world. In order to do so, we  use The Bluedorn’s  classic book Teaching the Trivium.

  And let the Speakers at the Homeschool Freedom conference encourage and inspire you to protect your religious freedoms and those of generations to come. I know these speakers have so often inspired our family   to action!
