So I am going to show you our house before we purchased it so as we are remodeling it and making it more big family friendly you’ll have a feel from where we started.
- We were looking for a fixer-upper and this house had some things that needed to be fixed but it was ll cosmetic and nothing major.
- We were trying to get a bigger house and at the same time we didn’t want to have a large mortgage like we did in the country house.
- We needed a large backyard & high ceilings
We purchased this larger (then our previous house) super cute 1950’s ranch style house on a large lot. There are little to no gardens around this house and I am a gardener it is my stress relief. Over the past year I have addressed this issue. So by buying this house we lowered our mortgage payment and shaved off a 1/3 of our house debt. We also moved into a super cute neighborhood, love the house and have acquired GREAT neighbors we love to death!
This is the Master Bedroom. Right now the plan is to add a 20×20 addition to the back of the house with a new Master Bedroom & Bathroom.
This is the room they used as a formal living room we use it as a dining & music room.
This is a large kitchen and we plan to add cabinets to the blank wall that is not showing behind me. We had a tiny kitchen before so we love having way more space. The plan for this room is to gut it (only because we think there is a problem with the subfloor) and put in a new kitchen on a budget!
This is a very small room we hope to use as a guest room one day.
I hope you enjoyed today’s house tour. I have decided that I need accountability in my decorating and remodeling process. So I will be determining my summer goals and posting them and you can follow along during the madness as we take our time making our house a home.
